The Audi Q4 e-tron offers two battery capacities: 55 kWh for the entry-level model Q4 35, which shows 310 km of autonomy, and 82 kWh for the Q4 40 and 50 quattro versions, which announce autonomy of 472 and 412 km . According to other versions, the freedom can even rise to more than 500 km, depending on the equipment chosen. Before we hit the road, let’s go inside first. The Q4’s dashboard is inspired by that of the Audi A3, with well-thought-out ergonomics and a finish worthy of high-end models. The comfortable driving position and the quality of the seats in the “S line” finish complete the quality interior, both with two screens, one for the instruments, the other, for touch and in the middle of the dashboard, for the infotainment system. These two screens have good graphic quality and an augmented reality head-up display that provides guidance on off-road projects that comes in handy.
The Audi Q4 offers great space thanks to its generous wheelbase (2.76 m), which benefits the rear seats, where passengers can stretch their legs. With a trunk volume of 520 liters, the Q4 tops all family SUVs.
At the first meters, the silence of the electric impulse immediately gives a smile, especially for this type of car intended to transport his small family in comfort. The combination of 21-inch rims and adaptive damping is good, and the car is still quite powerful despite the undeniable emphasis on comfort. Our 299 hp version of the 50 doesn’t miss a punch, especially when 460 Nm is immediately available. This version offers a more “sporty” car, a very impressive speed with 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds and faultless traction thanks to the four-wheel drive.
In terms of consumption, we noted around 18 kWh/100 km. At this level, the autonomy would reach 440 km, a figure in line with the previous promise and therefore the Q4 shows that the autonomy is no longer a problem every day, taking more than a week with a charge. Its ability to travel, on the other hand, is directly related to the density of the payment network.
