Porsche Penske Motorsport has begun testing the second of the latest 963 LMDh cars as it ramps up preparations for its two programs in the FIA World Endurance Championship and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship in 2023.
The new Porsche 963 completed three consecutive days of testing between 3rd and 5th August at Monza, with all chassis in place. Factory drivers Dane Cameron, Laurens Vanthoor, Michael Christensen and Kevin Estre shared the wheel of both cars at the Italian track. After the tests are completed, the new chassis will be shipped across the Atlantic for further testing in the United States of America starting next month.
The Ferrari hypercar is also back on the track, also in Italy, but in Imola to continue the test program, after doing the first Shakedown in Fiorano in early July. The Maranello model was seen on the track with a camouflage paint job to reveal many of its lines and shapes, but to reveal its headlights.
