The 37th edition of the 24h of Le Mans Trucks takes place on September 24 and 25, at the Bugatti circuit (Sarthe). Volvo Trucks, which is launching its heavy-duty electric range in a few days, has chosen to attend in large numbers at this annual meeting which remains a prime opportunity to meet truck and Volvo enthusiasts.
The French subsidiary of the Swedish manufacturer has chosen to reside in the Near Center, the central building of the village with its panoramic terrace and a spectacular view of the circuit, a space with an area of more than 1000 m².
Shops and activities for the whole family will await the public around topics related to environmental protection, drivers and electricity.
Series production of the heavy-duty electric model will begin on September 12, at the Tuve plant in Sweden. At the Le Mans 24h Trucks event, 3 heavy-duty vehicles in the electric version, FH, FM and FMX will be on display.
The 100% Electric Truck FH, the Inspection Truck of the weekend, will drive four times on the Bugatti circuit, ahead of the cars that will take part in the 2022 French Truck Championship.
The public will be able to appreciate its silence, one of the advantages praised by the drivers of the first copies already sold.

Iron Women, a training program for women drivers carried out in collaboration with RAS Intérim, will be presented during the live broadcast on Saturday 24/09 at 2:30 pm
The program, which aims to train ten women in the profession of HGV driver, will be launched in November 2022, in the Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne region.
Volvo Trucks France has chosen to join RAS Intérim with its “Acting for Women” program and thus benefit from its experience: 200 female HGV drivers have already been trained since 2020.
Marcus Hörberg, President of Volvo Trucks France and in the program of the project in Peru and South Africa, will speak during this session shot live in front of the Center Karibu. The show will be shown on the same day on Volvo Trucks’ social networks.
E-Truck Tour Volvo Trucks, a special event for electric vehicles
This show on Saturday 24th September will close the E-Truck Tour, a traveling event dedicated to electrification in Volvo Trucks.
From September 12 to 16, the FH Electrique will drive on the roads of France and will stop in 6 cities for programs whose photography will be open to the public. At each stage, the topic will be addressed: recharging, autonomy, maintenance, etc., with the intervention of experts. Each episode will be aired the same evening on social networks.
