Volkswagen.AERO’s new ID.AERO design
Seemingly very close to the future production structure, the concept of ID.AERO is based on spatial structure. Its declining coupé style mark contributes to an excellent 0.23 coefficient. Its profile is narrow, with door handles hidden and removable, the direction of electric motors and high. Its two-tone 22-inch currents represent the turbine structure. In the lower part of the front bumper, a piece of honeycomb is called an “ID. Honey.” At the back, there is also a shiny but thick band that crosses the width of the car.
On the technical side, Volkswagen has not yet communicated on the performance of its top-tier future. A 77 kWh lithium ion battery will provide a range of more than 600 km. Or a battery similar to the one given for example in ID.4, but with greater freedom: the aerodynamics function makes it possible to achieve use that is less logical. than that of a big SUV!
In order to compete with Tesla, it will be necessary to work twice as hard on performance. Because despite its 10-year career, the Model S still develops impressive performances, such as the Plaid version, which goes from 0 to 100 km / h in just 2.1 seconds.
The future ID.AERO will be a global model, offered in several continents. The production model will be collected in Germany at the Emden factory for the European market. This foreigner will also be sold in China from the second half of 2023, probably its main market, and North America.
