Volkswagen Gol maintains market leadership in the first half of July

At 42 years old, Gol is going through the last moments of the market. Volkswagen is expected to retire next year and the Polo Track will replace it. However, the old hero wants to come out on top and once again leads the ranks.

The veteran was the most licensed model in the first half of July. There were almost 6 thousand units, ahead of the main leader, Fiat Strada, which registered 4,802 units, according to the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave).

Last month, VW’s contract closed the month with 9,435 units, which assured it the leader position among passenger cars. Of this total, 7,642 units were sold through direct sales.

In other words, transactions between legal entities. Golzinho is still pushing in the tracks of the ship.

In the list of best sellers of parts, Fiat took the best, with four models and 12,073 licenses. General Motors follows in second place with three brands listed with 9,818 units. Hyundai and Toyota round out the list, along with VW, with one model each.

What is interesting is that the HB20 did not appear in the list of the best sellers. The South Korean compact leads the license plate of passenger cars with almost 43 thousand licenses.

One of the reasons will be the fact that HB20 has gone through its first amendment. The new line begins distribution next month. That way, cars ordered this month will be licensed in August only.

Other sales leaders were also not among the top 10 in the segment, such as T-Cross, Mobi and Compass.

Even the Creta, which is seventh in sales for the 2022 model year, is in eighth place with 2,501 vehicles registered, according to Fenabrave.
