With the introduction of leather-like materials for the steering wheels, BMW and Mini will reduce the number of materials with an impact of raw materials of animal origin to less than one percent. The use of this new type of steering wheel reduces CO2 emissions by approximately 85% (over the entire cycle) compared to a leather steering wheel surface.
