Herta won by 59.2698 seconds in qualifying on Saturday.

Torontonian Devlin DeFrancesco, an IndyCar qualifier, finished 12the, in 1:14.8882. He was punished in the second session.

Dalton Kellett, of Stoufville, Ont., will be 23 years olde during the start signal. He had engine trouble in qualifying.
The race was not held in 2020 and 2021, due to the pandemic.
The defending champion is Simon Pagenaud.
