It’s hard not to like Tom Hanks. The interpreter of Forrest Gump, among others, is perhaps one of the most appreciated Hollywood actors and this reputation brought him a good gift in 2017. Indeed, the Polish city had given him a well-restored Fiat from 1974.

An unlikely gift from this Polish city that never fails to surprise the two-time Oscar-winning actress. In fact, the city’s mayor had followed Tom Hanks’ trip to Hungary a few months earlier. And during this adventure, the American actress had not stopped sending pictures next to small cars.

Now, the Fiat in question is for sale on a popular auction site BringATrailer. As of this writing, the highest bid stands at $57,000.

We’re not going to lie to each other, no one has ever paid that much for a classic Fiat 126p. But others are willing to do anything for Tom Hanks’ smile. And in addition, the amount collected will be donated to the Elizabeth Dole Foundation, an organization aimed at military caregivers.

Good gift, good deed

Of course, in 2017, Tom Hanks was very touched by this gift from the city of Bielsko-Biala, Poland. And the best way to sell this car is to donate money to charity.
