The 2024 Ford Mustang is finally getting a little closer: Ford has released a new teaser video that gives us a sneak peek at the world’s most famous muscle car.
Although there isn’t much to see, the clip suggests that the rear end of the car has been improved. There are clear and prominent body lines. And especially there is no black fairing available on the current model. More interestingly, the presser displays the “GT Performance” badge and suggests that the GT Performance package will definitely make a return. While there are no details at this time, the current package costs $6,700 and adds a front spoiler and rear spoiler along with 19-inch alloy wheels wrapped in performance tires. In addition to the visual enhancements, the GT Performance package includes stronger springs, some unique suspension components and a larger radiator to improve cooling.
Customers also get a Torsen rear differential and six-piston Brembo front brake calipers with larger 380mm discs instead of 352mm. Other highlights include specific chassis tuning as well as a revised stability control system. So we think that all these features will also be required on the future GT Performance version of the “Stang”.
The best Mustang to come?
We remind you that the next Mustang will be launched in Detroit on September 14. In addition to a more avant-garde design, the new model is expected to have a stylish interior that includes a digital instrument panel, a new infotainment system and high-quality materials. In any case, this is what the first pictures of the interior that have leaked on the web suggest.
The engines that will be found under the hood of the new Mustang have not yet been confirmed, but The 2.3-liter EcoBoost turbo four-cylinder and 5.0-liter V8 should return with better performance. The four-cylinder can put out around 325 horsepower, while the upgraded V8 version can approach the 500 horsepower mark. Case to follow.
