According to the Competition Authority, the Chopard group is about to take over four locations of the Coste group, Peugeot, Citroën and the DS distributor in Ardèche (07) and Isère (38).

Group ChopardCitroën’s ninth distributor in France with a volume of 4,837 vehicles in 2020, is about to acquire the business of the Coste group.

“This transfer agreement under suspensive conditions with Pascal Coste who is selling his group”as can be read from the Autorité de la concurrence, it relates to four companies: A. Bourget & Cie and Drisar Automobiles, distributors of Peugeot and Citroën in Roussillon (Isère), Desruol Automobiles, distributor of Peugeot in Annonay (Ardèbile Vienne), and Cars . Sud, representing the Citroën and DS brands in Vienne (Isère).

The Coste Group is a family business founded in 1927. In 2020, it sold 1,800 NV and 1,800 UV with a turnover of 50 million euros.

A group led by Eric Chopard Lallier ranks eighth in our top 100 suppliers. In 2020, it achieved sales of 1,368 million euros and sold 32,810 NVs, including 27,600 models from the former PSA group brands, and 18,135 used cars.

As a reminder, in June last year, the group bought the agreement of the Var Bacchi-Bouteille group, the former distributor of the Citroën, DS and Fiat brands for sales of 50 million euros and 2,200 NV.
