There is no question for Kia to develop Sportage and “almost”. For this excellent dealer, the compromise was as follows: the model evokes a vision of the future with the original front and rear face, but while taking the usual SUV numbers, for example in numbers. Thus this Sportage extends to 3 cm to 4.51 m, with a width of only 1 cm (1.86 m), height (1.64 m) and wheelbase (2.68 m). Continuous change in the way. In summary, this SUV impresses instantly in exterior and interior design, with a complete finish and precise assemblies. The Slovak factory in Zilina, where it is still manufactured for Europe, defends its quality in quality.

Kia Sportage HEV: a wide choice of engine

But most of all, this fifth generation Kia Sportage offers a N3 high energy platform (except 100% electricity) that leaves engineers and designers more freedom. And the choice of a variety of engines, both more or less powerful hybrids, is a guarantee of the manufacturer’s good health. Thus, the current generation remains 1.6 turbo-petrol of 150 hp / 143-154 g (33,840 euros including excise duty on Commercial Trade) and diesel of 136 hp / 130-154 g in MHEV 48 V (37,640 euros in Commercial Trade) ). Added to this is the 1.6 turbo-gasoline HEV with a homogeneous and pleasing 230 hp (180 petrol petrol + 60 hp electric) tested here (38,140 euros in Commercial Use). Aside from its changing characteristics, its fun driving and its real comfort – that’s new -, this complete hybrid gave us 7.4 l / 100 kilometers in fast driving, in cold weather and snow and flat tires are great . It is also the lowest in CO2 in the range: 125-135 g front wheel wheel and 140-149 g in 4 × 4, with a “real” transmission shaft and not an additional electric motor on the rear axle. Its PHEV version increases to 265 hp with a 13.8 kWh battery. But it will only be available in March for 43,940 euros in Active Business.
