McLaren F1 has increased its results in Hungary according to its director Andreas Seidl.
Lando Norris finished 7th ahead of two Alpine F1s, thus maintaining a 4 point gap for the French team for 4th place in the constructors’ championship.
“With all six cars from the top three teams finishing the race, seventh place was the best we could have – and we did it. The changes we introduced at Paul Ricard, which we improved our understanding in Hungary put us in a position to win. speed, which is a great achievement.”
“Lando had a clean race to finish seventh but with the same strategy from Daniel’s side, we struggled to finish last on the hard tire and he fell out of the points.”
“It’s something we’ll have to learn in the last week before the summer break. A big thank you to everyone on the track, in the factory and to our colleagues at Mercedes for the great effort so far this year.”
“Everyone should enjoy the break, recharge their batteries and come back stronger for an exciting constructors’ playoff with Alpine F1. See you at the Spa.”
