Sources deny Harry Styles spat on Chris Pine at Don’t Worry Darling premiere | Don’t worry dear

Sources close to Harry Styles have denied that the singer and actor spat at co-star Chris Pine at the premiere of their film, Don’t Worry Darling, at the venice film festival on monday

Rumors dominated parts of the internet overnight and into Tuesday after video footage emerged that appeared to show Styles spitting on Pine’s lap as he took his seat for the world premiere.

“This is not true,” sources close to Fashion told Tuesday. A representative for Pine later released a statement saying: “This is a ridiculous story — a complete hoax and the result of an extraordinary cyber hoax that blatantly lies and allows silly rumours. There is nothing but respect between these two people and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that doesn’t exist.”

The suggestion of such behavior was prompted by what appears to be press pressure for the film so far. Pine appeared to be absent from Monday’s press conference, where Olivia Wilde, the film’s director, sought to play down rumors of a rift between him and the film’s star, Florence Pugh.

Pugh did not appear at the press conference, but did show up for the premiere, where he was seen carefully avoiding contact with Wilde.

A later question during the press conference about Shia LaBeouf’s departure from the film was closed before Wilde had a chance to answer.

Don’t Worry Darling is a thriller set in America’s seemingly perfect neighborhood. Styles and Pugh play a couple whose marriage is under strain when Pugh’s character reveals a secret about a neighbor’s disappearance.

Reviews of the film were negative, with critics praising Pugh but suggesting Styles’ acting ability may be lacking.

“I don’t know what I’m doing,” Styles said at a press conference Monday.
