Simon Dion-Viens returned to the fine line in the Canadian NASCAR series for the 52nd edition of the Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières.
For the event, the Kamouraska driver drove a car prepared by the DJ Kennington team in Castrol Canada colors, supported by Mitsubishi Rivière-du-Loup, Témis Chrysler and Rousseau Métal. Unfortunately, Dion-Viens encountered various mechanical problems that cost him a lot of time and forced him to retire early in the race.
“The Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières is my favorite event of the year and I love participating in it. On the other hand, this year we had several technical problems that prevented us from being competitive,” said Simon Dion-Viens.
“It’s a weekend to forget for us. I had high hopes when I arrived in Trois-Rivières, but the car mechanics did not cooperate. I am disappointed by the turn of events, but we are all motivated to come back even stronger next year in a good competitive car”, concludes the driver who has already achieved great success in previous years on the street. of Trois-Rivières.
