Shared car: Toyota partners with a pharmacy

The Kinto Share rental service is reaching outside Toyota dealerships for the first time

Toyota announced a partnership with drugstore Coop, from Santo André (SP), to expand the Kinto car-sharing service, the manufacturer’s mobility division. From now on, with the sale of the brand, it will be possible to pick up and return the car from the service directly at the Coop unit in the center of the city of ABC Paulista (Av. João Ramalho, 248, Santo André) .

In the sharing service, the user can rent a car at a specified value by the hour or by the day, depending on the needs. Renting is done directly through the Kinto Share smartphone app, available for iOS (Apple) and Android (Google) systems. In the pharmacy of service partners, the available model is the Toyota Corolla Altis hybrid. According to Kinto’s website, shared cars have an initial contract from R$ 25.00/hour. For a hybrid Corolla, the cost per hour is R$ 60.00. For everyday pricing, the starting price is R$399.00.

“We must expand the offer of our services to other areas, always looking for more proximity and convenience for our customers. And this partnership with Coop Drogaria is very important for us, it represents the beginning of a new chapter in our mobility journey”, says the commercial director of Kinto and mobility of Toyota do Brasil, Roger Armellini.

In addition to the Coop pharmacy, the Kinto car sharing service is available at 63 Toyota dealerships across Brazil, where it is possible to rent any model from the Toyota portfolio as well as from Lexus. In addition to using the car for the required time, the contract already includes a car insurance policy (with different discounts in case of activation) and 24-hour assistance.
