The car market continues to grow, according to data provided by the National Federation of Motor Vehicle Distributors (Fenabrave). In August alone, 155,000 vehicles were licensed, a number that represents an increase of 14.45% compared to July this year. Surprisingly, the Fiat Strada was once again the best-selling car in the country in August, regaining the position lost the previous month.

The truck made by Fiat had 14,157 numbers between 1 and 31 August this year, compared to 11,719 for the Volkswagen Gol, the second best-selling vehicle in August, and which was the best-selling vehicle in July. The “podium” among the best-selling cars in the last month is completed by the Hyundai HB20, with 10,919 cars registered.

Two Chevrolet models complete the list of five best-selling cars in the country in August: Onix had 9,821 units sold, compared to 8,968 for Onix Plus. Fiat Mobi, with 7,613 vehicles sold, is in sixth place on the list, followed by Fiat Argo, seventh with 7,594.

New to the list of the top ten best selling cars in August is the Renault Kwid, which was left off the list in July. The model had 6,829 units sold. Chevrolet Tracker, with 6,708 license numbers, and Volkswagen T-Cross, with 6,194, complete the list.

When we look at manufacturers, Fiat also had the most vehicles sold in August, with 44,237 units, compared to 32,318 units sold by Volkswagen. Chevrolet, with 30,537, ranks third on the list, followed by Hyundai, with 17,791, and Toyota, with 15,392.
