On Friday morning, São Paulo confirmed the signing of the Argentine striker, Nahuel Bustos, who will be presented in the afternoon at the Barra Funda Training Center. The São Paulo club signed a one-year loan deal with the team that belongs to the City Group, which controls Manchester City.

At the age of 24, Bustos played for Girona, from Spain, before settling with São Paulo. In the European club, he scored 11 goals in 45 games last season. Previously, he wore the shirts of Pachuca, from Mexico, and Talleres, from Argentina. In the basic categories, he defended one Argentinian team, including Huracán and Argentino Peñarol.

Bustos has been in the news in Brazilian football in recent weeks when it was speculated in São Paulo and also in Internacional. The team from São Paulo ended up winning, in part due to the good relationship between president Julio Casares and the leadership of the City Group, who saw in the Brazilian club an opportunity to give exposure to their player.

The Argentine is used to playing on the side of the pitch, almost as a winger. But he is versatile and can also help as a striker. The reinforcement becomes, therefore, an alternative to Rogério Ceni in the offensive sector, even eventually replacing Jonathan Calleri.

Bustos is the fourth player of São Paulo to strengthen in the current transfer window. He joins Marcos Guiherme, Galoppo and Felipe Alves. The club may still have new names in the future. This is the case of the Venezuelan striker Nahuel Ferraresi, another player who belongs to the City Group and who may appear in the Brazilian team.
