MONTRAL, May 11, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ – At a general meeting on May 11, Rolls Royce Canada employees rejected the last offer of the international employer by a vote of 94%.

530 workers specializing in the maintenance of aircraft engines do not agree to end the defined pension plan as requested by the company. Rolls Royce is also maintaining its two-year wage freeze requirement. They have been in detention since March 15.

When we return to work there will be a good collective agreement that will satisfy all our members, says the president of the Rolls-Royce Canada Workers Union (CSN), Fredric. That beauty. There is no question of despair! We are determined to face the obstacles that Rolls Royce wants to impose on us.

Without a collective agreement since March 2020, employees of Rolls-Royce Canada, aircraft engine maintenance specialists, are requesting a five-year employment contract. In particular, they want to get rid of the ?orphan? pension plan and group insurance, improve wages and work schedules, and increase vacation time.
