The Ferrari SP48 Unica, the latest addition to the one-time series of running horses, has been launched. It joins the most unique unit of the entire array: unique vehicles, designed according to specific customer specifications.
SP48 Unica is a two-seater berlinetta developed from the F8 Tributo platform.
Its taut lines and extremes make it instantly recognizable from the original model, and it is also an undeniable appreciation for its arrow-shaped frontal profile. To achieve this effect, the headlights had to be redesigned and the ventilation brake was moved.
The attractive effect of the sun in front is further emphasized by the reduction in the size of the side windows and the elimination of the rear window.
SP48 Unica was created for a long time client who was involved in every step of its creation.
The “Special Projects” program creates a unique Ferraris (popular one-off), characterized by a unique design that is tailored to the needs of the client, who will be the owner of this one-of-a-kind model. Each project starts from an idea proposed by the client and then designed by a team of designers from the Ferrari Fashion Center.
After defining the proportions and shapes of the vehicle, detailed plans and styling specifications are produced before the one-off construction begins. The whole process takes more than one year on average. The process in which the client is closely involved, during the evaluation of the structure and the validation phases.
The result? A single Ferrari that features the Playing Horse logo and built with the same standards of quality as all cars coming from Maranello connecting lanes.
