A problem in the operation of the fuel pump can affect the performance of the hatch
Stellantis is recalling new Peugeot 208s in Brazil for a possible fuel pump fault. This call involves only 36 design units, with production dates between July 30 and August 6, 2021. Last year, the Peugeot 208 had 16,342 licenses in Brazil.
According to Peugeot, it is likely that the fuel pump of the new 208 has a fault, which can cause the fuel supply to the engine to stop when the car is running. Failure to do so may result in the risk of an accident, and damage to the vehicle’s occupants and/or other people.
The fix involves replacing the fuel pump on affected models. Lasting about 30 minutes, the repair can be arranged free of charge at any brand outlet. This issue affects 36 units of the new 208 with non-consecutive chassis numbers (last eight digits) from NG516542 to NG518309.
This is the second anniversary of the new generation 208 in Brazil. In July 2021, the brand had called for units of rear axle suspension failure. For more information for owners, the brand offers a phone number 0800-703-2424 and a website. www.peugeot.com.br.
