Peugeot gives a spoiler and confirms the arrival of the SUV e-2008 GT in Brazil – 02/09/2022

Currently selling the electric E-Expert and e-208 GT, Peugeot will expand its electric range with the SUV e-2008 GT. This column spotted a prototype spoiler in the manufacturer’s latest official video that talked about the powertrain. We contacted the brand, which confirmed that it will launch its new electric car in Brazil in 2022. Imported from Europe, the e-2008 GT will be priced at over R$300,000.

Peugeot e-2008 is the first generation of thermal sold in Brazil. While the national one produced in Porto Real (RJ) uses the EMP1 platform, the electric one uses the e-CMP architecture intended for the French brand’s electric models. The base is the same as the e-208 GT already sold in Brazil.

Like the e-208 GT, the Peugeot e-2008 GT has an electric motor with a power of 136 horsepower and a torque of 26.5 kgfm. The lithium-ion battery is 50 kWh and a range of up to 340 km in the WLTP cycle. The set takes the electric SUV from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 150 km / h.

Compact SUV, Peugeot e-2008 GT has a length of 4.30 meters, a wheelbase of 2.65 meters, a length of 1.55 meters and a width of 1.77 meters. The trunk carries 434 liters of cargo.

The new Peugeot e-2008 GT has the size of an SUV and its lines are reminiscent of the 3008’s sibling. The headlights have a three-claw signature and are illuminated by full LED lights. The hood is more horizontal and parallel to the ground. The bumper, on the other hand, is well designed and the grille has 3D elements and follows the color of the body.

The SUV can have a two-tone body with a black roof and a contrasting color body. Viewed from the side, the roof bars are also painted black, as are the glass caps. The wheels are 17-inch diamonds and moldings on the wheel houses complete the look.

The Peugeot e-2008 GT battery is Lithium-Ion and has a capacity of 50 kWh and a range of up to 340 km in the WLTP cycle.

At the rear, the e-2008 GT follows the brand’s visual identity, with horizontal taillights featuring the signature three-claw LED. A Piano Black instrument cluster joins the lights and carries the Peugeot name. The bumper is in black color and has a chrome bar.

Inside, the SUV features a 3D digital instrument panel and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with integrated 3D navigation for the driver. The dashboard follows the lines of the 208 brother and the center console is raised.

In the French market, the electric SUV is well equipped and its list should be repeated in the version planned for the Brazilian market. Standard features include push-button engine start, power-adjustable and folding mirrors, side lighting, dual-position adjustable trunk floor, auto-dimming interior mirror, tinted rear windows, automatic air conditioning , Peugeot Full LED Technology signature three-claw headlights, LED turn signals, electric parking brake and Peugeot i-Cockpit® 3D with 3D digital head-up display.

In terms of safety, the Peugeot e-2008 GT with traction and stability controls, ABS brakes, electronic brake force distribution (REF), emergency brake assist (AFU), dynamic stability control (CDS) ) and trailer stability control (TSM).

The list also includes a blind spot monitoring system, LED fog lights with curve function, front, front side (chest and belly) and curtain airbags (front and rear).
