The latest version of the Movano is also available with electric propulsion for the first time. This model variant’s battery has been upgraded. The Opel Movano is Opel’s biggest van in the light commercial vehicle market and the Stellantis Group’s new sibling model to the Citron Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, and Fiat Ducato. The Movano was formerly built on the Renault Master platform.
The client has several panel van customization options.
The Opel Movano is available in four lengths (L1 – L4) and three heights (H1 – H3) (H1 – 3). The maximum load capacity varies between 8 and 17 cubic meters. The big Opel’s allowed total weight varies from 2.8 to 4.0 tons, allowing it to carry a maximum payload of 2.1 tons. The loading sill is (depending on the model) merely 494 millimeters, the loading width is 1,422 millimeters between the wheel arches and 1,870 millimeters between the side walls.
In the conventional cabin, three persons may be seated in a row; the optionally available double cabin gives a second row of seats for four extra passengers. As a platform chassis with many cab configurations, the Movano widens the variety of applications. In addition, the Movano is ideal as a platform for unique modifications and bodywork from tipper to flatbed truck to camper.
The new Movano is already equipped with an array of basic assistance features, including the automatic emergency brake aid, blind-spot warning system, lane departure warning system, and trailer assistant. Additionally, the van may be configured with a variety of communication and telemetry options.

Diesel and electric powertrain for the first time
The Opel Movano is propelled by Euro 6d-compliant 2.2-liter diesel engines with outputs ranging from 120 to 165 horsepower and peak torque values between 300 and 370 Newton-meters. All variants include front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission.
The Opel Movano’s electric powertrain is brand-new. A 90 kW and 260 Nm electric motor drives the front wheels of the Opel Movano-E. The maximum speed of the e-transporter is electrically restricted to 110 km/h. Depending on the model variation, the Movano-E was fitted with either a 37 kWh or 70 kWh lithium-ion battery upon launch.
According to the WLTP standard, Opel specified a range between 116 and 247 kilometers. In the summer of 2022, the size of the huge battery will increase. The range is increased by about 25 kilometers as a result of Opel’s increase of five kWh to 75 kWh.
The Movano is now available with an electric drivetrain for the first time as the Movano-e.
The batteries are positioned on the vehicle floor between the axles in a manner that does not compromise the Movano-operation E’s or cargo space. When coasting or decelerating, a regenerative braking system may recover energy.
Prices are set.
The new Opel Movano is currently available for order. The prices for the combustion models begin at 32,580 euros plus VAT, as is typical for commercial vehicles. The electric Opel Movano-e begins at 57,990 euros (also plus taxes). However, a net environmental bonus of 7,500 euros may be awarded in this case.
Opel is revamping the Movano van and introducing an electric-only drivetrain for the first time. In the summer of 2022, the huge battery’s capacity will be raised by 5 kWh to 75 kWh.
