L ‘2023 Acura Integra was announced to the general public about 5 months ago, and early orders have been accepted since then. Basically we are talking about the high-end and most expensive Honda Civic hatchback, and whose availability of manual transmission is rare. That said, we now know the prices of the different versions that will be offered in Canada, and these will add eyebrows.
First, three versions will be available for the Canadian market. First we see the standard entry version, Integra, then the A-Spec and Elite A-Spec versions follow. The basic version is priced at $ 36,725, including shipping and handling costs, which is $ 1,080 higher than the price of Integra’s closest cousin, Honda Civic Si. The most surprising is that it is an increase of around $ 3,000 compared to the car that Integra occupies in the Acura range, ILX.
Alternatively, the intermediate version, A-Spec, which is not available for manual transmission, has an initial selling price of $ 39,425 including travel and preparation costs. This offers the same functionality and technical features as the basic version, but it orders a much higher price as it has 18-inch rims and 4-season “performance” tires. It also includes other superficial features such as the addition of shiny black text on the cupboard or the addition of a back cover.
Then, for an additional $ 5,500, it is possible to get your hands on the most expensive version of the lottery, or $ 44,925 for the Elite A-Spec version, again including travel and preparation costs. It has suspension devices with more games, a header display, a 19-speaker audio system and more. However, it is also the only version that offers manual transmission as an option (at no additional cost, fortunately). No other Integra benefits from this box, and this is what creates the controversy surrounding this car.
We remind you that the 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine borrowed directly from the Civic Si: boosts 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft torque, has turbocharged and is connected to a CVT-type transmission in all versions. Integra, with the exception of Elite A-Spec which offers manual transmission as an option.
