Nissan is preparing to open the order books for two of its most anticipated models, the Ariya electric SUV and the facelifted Z sports car, in Canada.

Starting tomorrow morning at 9 am (EST), both models will be available for pre-order for Canadian customers.

Ariya is the company’s second electric model and the first to compete in the popular electric SUV market.

The new car is offered in 6 variants, all of which can be ordered online. An entry-level model is the front-wheel-drive Engage. This version is equipped with a 63 kWh battery and a 214 horsepower motor, which should allow a range of 346 kilometers.

The Evolve e-4orce adds a second engine to provide all-wheel drive with 335 horsepower. The range, however, is slightly reduced, at 328 kilometers.

The Venture+ is the longest-range variant, with a larger 87 kWh battery and single-engine configuration, which develops 238 horsepower and offers a range of 482 km.

The Evolve+ retains the same technical features but its range has been reduced to 463 km.

The Platinum+ comes standard with all-wheel drive, giving it 389 horsepower and a range of 426 kilometers.

The premium PREMIERE model has the same characteristics as the Platinum+ in terms of power and freedom.

Ariya deliveries will begin in autumn 2022 with single-engine versions, which will be followed by all-wheel-drive variants in time for late summer.

The Z is Nissan’s revived version of the sports car that now takes on a more retro look reminiscent of the original 240Z from the 70s.

Under the hood, the new Z is powered by a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that develops 400 horsepower and offers a choice between a 6-speed manual transmission with EXEDY high-performance clutch, or a 9-speed automatic transmission. speed. and aluminum gear paddles.

The 2023 Z is offered in three versions, Sport, Performance and Proto Spec. The first two will be available online but the Proto Spec can only be ordered through a dealer due to its very limited production run.

The Z is expected to arrive in Canada in the summer of 2022.

The ordering process will be the same for Z and Ariya. Starting tomorrow, a website will open for each model where interested customers can configure their Z or Ariya. A deposit of $1,000 will be required to secure the pre-order and customers will be asked to select the location they would like their vehicle delivered to. The purchase process will be completed at the dealer when the vehicle is received.
