new teasers show mechanical box

The new Pagani is still called the C10, but it should have a more “sexy” name in the future. In any case, we have just learned that it will have a mechanical gearbox with an “H” grid, to the delight of purists.

The Pagani C10 is already shaping up to be something very special. As the successor to the Huayra, it has to be. Since 2019 we know that the next generation of the Italian hypercar is in the works. Currently, the new model is designated internally under the code name “C10”, but we can be pretty sure that it will receive a different name when Pagani officially introduces it on September 12, 2022. With less than a week to go before the presentation, Pagani has launched its teaser campaign and has even stepped up its campaign with a new video showing off what might be the C10’s best feature: its grid-type manual gearbox.

In a shared video manufacturer’s social networks, some details have been revealed. We can distinguish in particular the carbon fiber visible in front of the cockpit which has become a trademark of the brand. But then the most interesting and interesting things are not visible. We are thinking of a V12 engine. We suspect it will be an updated version of the Huayra’s 6.0-liter twin-turbo V12, which in its most powerful form produces 754 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque.

Grid!

The most interesting detail remains the “H” grid of the gearbox which seems to show seven gears plus reverse. This leads us to believe that this is a dog box, with 1st gear reverse on standard cars and 1st down. The gear lever should leave the mechanical linkage visible, like the Koenigsegg CC850. However, a sequential gearbox will also be available.

Other details in the teaser let us see the two-tone leather interior with reinforced bucket seats, gold rims and large brake calipers with carbon-ceramic discs and LED lights. At the rear, the Pagani quad logo tailpipes will always be present. To be continued… September 12!
