Álex Rins feared he could be left without a place on the MotoGP grid in 2023, following Suzuki’s retirement announcement later this year. Now that he has signed the LCR, the Spanish rider is satisfied, especially with the fact that he will be riding an official motorcycle.

“I work harder and harder, year after year. And I was a little scared when Suzuki announced retirement, because I’m no longer a rookie and I was looking for a factory bike, which luckily we found. But I was a little scared because it wasn’t easy.”say.

“It’s a pleasure to have a contract with the official manufacturer, Honda. Of course I was signing with Lucio [Cecchinello], it was not an official motorcycle, if it was the only solution, I would keep it. But I’m very happy, because I can’t see myself running without an official bike. I think I have a lot of experience, a lot of ability to improve the bike. That’s why I couldn’t see myself without an official motorcycle. It’s hard to explain”say.
