Hap Inc., the Japanese indie developer behind Mama Hid My Game, has released a new mobile collection called Tokyo Game Nou for iOS and Android devices. The collection includes three games: Rojo Fighter (fighting game), Lost Ball (golf game) and Order (court game).
True to the style of Hap’s games, the three mini-games are very simple, even fun.
In Rojo Fighter, you only have two moves: dodge back and punch. Your opponent has the same setup, so it’s basically two animated characters leaning back and forth. Surprisingly, it’s a little harder to eliminate your opponents because the timing of the two buttons is hard to figure out.
Lost Ball is just as simple: you have to hit to hit the golf ball toward the target hole. If you suck and miss badly enough and lose, the chicken will mistake your golf ball for an egg and sit on it.
Order, a court game, is very strange. While Lost Ball and Rojo Fighter are both directly related to what their names imply, The Order is more advanced. You play as a judge who gives the verdict in a game of moles. If you manage to beat them in order, they sing Joy to the World.
The games are free to download, but be aware that ads appear from time to time.
