Mitsubishi Motors and Atvos, the second largest producers of ethanol of Brazilentered into a partnership to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the 2021 and 2022 Mitsubishi Summits.

The aim is to reduce 282 tonnes of CO2 each season, equivalent to planting 78,900 trees.

The agreement covers direct and indirect emissions from the 2021 tournament, including this Saturday in Mogi Guaçu (SP), which closes the schedule for the year, and the entire next year. In total, there are about 50 events.

The MIT4Zero seal was also created, which will be part of the calendar’s visual identity to show that the race’s provision will not be changed.

In a note, the Marketing Director of Mitsubishi Motors, Letícia Mesquita A. Oliveira, says: “Having a full production offset from this activity is a win for our brand”.

Executive Director of Sustainability, Communications and Institutional and Government Relations at Atvos, Amaury Pekelman, says in a statement: “The partnership with Mitsubishi strengthens Atvos’ position as a company that produces clean and sustainable energy in its DNA.”
