Star among the stars. Max Verstappen continues to write his history in Form 1. At the wheel of his Red Bull, the reigning world champion, who started from third place, won the first edition of the Miami Grand Prix. This is the third victory of the season for the Batavian, and even the second in a row after a victory at Imola. Verstappen was able to rely on his incredible high speed to get the upper hand over Ferraris, signing a new race controlled by a faster rotation and a 19-point return from lead in the standings. Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz are still finishing on stage.

Verstappen: “Hell in return!”
2 HOURS LAST
Max Verstappen was certainly expecting a tough race, after a controversial Friday in which he could not complete the round. Its well-deserved success was built on three steps. He previously managed his departure in the best possible way and dropped Carlos Sanz from the start and followed Charles Leclerc quickly. He then relied on his unbeatable high speed, along with DRS, to capture Monegasque in the ninth round, in a straight line, before the first corner. Finally, he was able to launch a good re-launch after a security vehicle intervened, linked to a collision between Pierre Gasly and Lando Norris.
Leclerc once again without flaws
The Dutch Prodigy also made no mistake, unlike Charles Leclerc. The champion leader failed to drive safely, allowing Verstappen to score and then slide. He was also not helped by his pit hole. He wanted to try a lower way to put tough tires in front of his opponent, but his inability to move for 3.2 seconds proved it was too long to overturn Red Bull which was hard to come by regularly.

Leclerc attacked like hell after a security vehicle was canceled but, despite DRS, he never worried Verstappen with complete confidence. Sergio Pérez, too, was fully committed to climbing the platform, taking advantage of the free station to be the only person to lead the new tires. Unfortunately for him, his last attack, with little hope, did not work for Carlos Sainz.
Mercedes third squad, star boredom this Sunday
For its part, Mercedes continues to look for opportunities to earn big points, proving to be the third team in the tournament as they look forward to a better day. If Lewis Hamilton missed his start, he slowly returned to working order, while George Russell, who left with a hard ball, delayed passing through the box as much as possible. Luck smiled at him when Norris and Gasly collided, then Valtteri Bottas failed to apply the brakes and dropped fifth place which was his and his promise. Finns will be able to feed regrets, Alfa Romeo as well. And it’s Mercedes laughing, with Russel P5 and Hamilton P6 finishing.
As for the festival, we probably won’t remember much from this first visit to Miami, until we say that Verstappen had a very GP, very quiet. In any case, the Dutchman has taken up quite a bit of psychological growth, with three successes in four meetings. Since the start of the season, he has had only two results: victory or retirement. All or none, in short. Proof of a certain rule that could end up planting serious doubts in the spirit of Ferrari. We already see it in the behavior of Leclerc, who is no longer calm in his operations.
