McLaren unveils special editions for the Indianapolis 500

McLaren will have special editions of the cars that Felix Rosenqvist, Juan Pablo Montoya and Patricio O’Ward will drive in the Indianapolis 500.

Due to the agreement with UNDEFEATED, the olive green color will be on the team cars during the more traditional races of The Indy System. THE McLaren of the Swedish driver will have green in the cockpit and engine area, while other shades of orange and blue seal the wings and sides of the car.

In Pato O’Ward’s car, the olive green color will be on the right side, while the Montoya model, which has white details, takes the UNDEFEATED color on the left side of the back.

The special edition McLaren cars are signed by James Bond, co-founder of UNDEFEATED and one of the brand’s designers. Driver’s overalls and mechanic’s wear will also receive special colors for the Indianapolis 500.

In 2021 McLaren had Pato O’Ward as their top driver in the Indianapolis 500. The Mexican, who is currently the runner-up at Indy, finished the race in 4th place. This season, he will reunite with the two-time champion Juan Pablo Montoya and Felix Rosenqvist compete for the team’s first Indy 500 victory.

The 106th edition of the Indianapolis 500 is scheduled for May 29and riders will have two test days on the circuit on Wednesday and Thursday, April 20 and 21.
