Mazda CX-60 at market launch just as a hybrid of plug-ins
Even before the presentation of the CX-60, there was special information about the engine. Since then SUV based on “Large Platform”, long-installed engines are used.
Earlier in the development, Mazda promised to go for electricity, as opposed to the current downturn straight-six wanting to give. However, customers will have to wait a while for these engines.
CX-60 initially as a hybrid of plug-ins

Up to 63 miles is possible only by electricity. It remains to be seen whether Mazda will increase battery capacity again in the future.
New eight-speed automatic for CX-60
Power is transmitted by an eight-speed automatic that is built into the house. In this case, no torque converter is installed, but the input clutch of most plates. Advantages according to Mazda: slim structure and low slope. In addition, the electric motor hybrid plug system directly inside infection integrated.

The actual size of the CX-60 is not clear from the picture. At 4.75 meters high, it hits the competition.
Bigger than the competition from Audi, BMW and Mercedes
Visually, the CX-60 makes a good impression. The design is quiet, reminiscent of the United States SUV. The radiator grille stands fast in the wind and is decorated with a lot of chrome in the upper trim “Takumi”. Thin and laid out on the outside front light giving the CX-60 a fleshy appearance.

The passenger cell is set too far back, the increments are short. 18-inch wheels come as standard, with 20-inch wheels available as an option. No surprises in the back, the elevated back lights are divided into two, the back light shown is fake. A trend that still takes some getting used to after several years.

Lots of space in the Mazda CX-60
There is ample space in the front and rear, which is expected due to the 2.87 meter wheel. In the background, however, there is one point of criticism: the outer seats are very hard upholstered.

In the upper trim “Takumi” there is always light skin. The choice of material and space is very good.
In the front row, on the other hand, there is almost a flair of luxury. High-quality “Takumi” materials blow the trumpet with light nappa leather and maple wood. Woven fabrics are said to be reminiscent of traditional kimonos, and a 12.3-inch infotainment display and digital instruments are common on boards such as wireless. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Always advanced materials with light skin
If you do not like the light leather interior, you should go for the second top “Homura” accessories, which include black leather. The top model “Takumi” is always provided with a white interior.
“Driver Preferences Setting System” (only available for “Homura” and “Takumi”) is completely new. It uses surface recognition to automatically set and maintain the appropriate driving space for up to six different drivers. Unfortunately, we were not able to test the system at the time of submission, as it is currently in the final phase of testing.

Now the driver can adjust the settings according to personal preferences and finally save them. The next time you log in, the CX-60 detects the driver through eye monitoring and restores the final saved settings.

As usual for hybrids, however, one has to be prepared for that, i.e. let it go, there is no unnecessary rush. Then this equates to smooth suspension and smooth operation.
