The model marks the beginning of a new era for Maserati. Starting with the MC20 engine: instead of the Ferrari engines used in recent years, the supercar launches a new biturbo 3.0 liter V6 of its development – the first in more than two decades -, which is capable of producing 630 hp. . This engine is mated to a two-speed automatic transmission.

Weighing less than 1,500 kg, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber in the bodywork, the MC20 gives a ratio of 2.33 kg per horse, which allows the car to accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 2.9 seconds and reach a maximum. speed of 325 km / h.

The interior is minimalist and inspired by that of track cars. The configurable digital panel is 10″ and is paired with another LCD screen of the same size, from the multimedia center. The equipment list also includes things like a driving mode selector and a mobile phone charger.

The model begins to be produced until the end of this year at the Viale Ciro Menotti factory, in the city of Modena (Italy), where until last November the GranTurismo and GranCabrio models were produced. The manufacturing unit acquired new painting equipment for the production of the Maserati MC20.

At launch, the MC20 will be offered in six new, exclusive colours: Bianco Audace, Giallo Genio, Rosso Vincente, Blu Infinito, Nero Enigma and Grigio Mistero. In addition to the coupe with the gasoline engine, Maserati says that a convertible variant and even an electric car are in the pipeline.
