Zapping Autonews BMW X1 (2022): A new generation of SUV in video

A big weekend car, and a small weekly SUV. This is possible with the summary of the two cars presented at the Maserati manufacturer’s stand at the Lyon exhibition, which took place from April 7 to 11, 2022 inside the Eurexpo exhibition center. The trident-based designer made the trip to show off the MC20 as well as its latest model, Grecale.

Launched to the world on March 22, 2022, the Grecale Maserati is the new SUV developed by Modena. If an electronic version called Folgore is to be announced, it is certainly a heat model that was shown on the Lyon show and which our photographers were able to approach. Presented for the bronze version, Grecale is here with its GT standard finish. So it is probably a 2.0 four-cylinder 2.0 petrol engine that is under the SUV hood, connected to a 48V light hybrid.

From 0 to 100 km / h in less than three seconds

Maserati MC20, on the other hand, is more powerful. Properly produced by the MC12, this large car, whose doors open inside the elytron, has a 3.0 V6 engine producing 630 hp and 730 Nm of torque. It is enough to allow it to slow down 0 to 100 km / h in 2.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 325 km / h. The Italian beauty is based on carbon fiber, which weighs in at just 1,468 pounds.

In the Lyon show, the MC20 was presented in a relatively dark color, compared to Brembo’s yellow brake calipers. The yellow input is also found inside this two-seater coupe, mainly through sewing on the seats, dashboard and center dashboard. The rest of the black upholstery combines Alcantara, leather and carbon fiber. As a reminder, this Maserati MC20 sells for € 220,000.

In short

Like many developers, Maserati has chosen to hold the position at the Lyon Motor Show from April 7 to 11, 2022. Visitors to the Lyon event were thus able to discover the latest designs from trident brands, such as the Maserati MC20, and especially Grecale Maserati. The latter is a new SUV from the manufacturer of the Stellantis group. Presented here in its GT entry-level finish, it has a 300 hp 2.0 four-cylinder engine, as well as a hybrid light. Sold for € 220,000, the MC20 has a 630 hp V6 3.6 engine with 730 Nm of torque. Great car for weekends, in short, where Grecale is intended for everyday use, and more families.
