The Austrian brand KTM, which specializes in motorcycles, is re-entering the field of motor vehicles. It will build a super sports car, the KTM X-Bow GT XR, which is undergoing development testing at Germany’s Nürburgring circuit.

At KTM in the field of cars, we knew about KTM’s X-Bow GT, a completely original car that ended its career in 2020. Now comes the new X-Bow GT XR which is a closed car while the first X. -Bow was discovered. Like the first X-Bow, the new car has a carbon fiber body and is very light (we’re talking about less than 1,100 kg). This car is currently in the development phase and continues its tests at the Nürburgring.

If the models are hidden, we do not know the model of this car as KTM communicated through Instagram. The production car derived from the racing version of the KTM X-Bow GTX will use, like that, an engine from Audi. It is a five-cylinder 2.5 that develops 600 hp in the competition version. The production car should use the same block with a different power level (500 hp). This five-cylinder engine should be mated to a seven-speed sequential gearbox.

Testing continues with applications on the Nordschleife. The production car could be delivered before the end of the year. If the first KTM car was a real car, the second KTM-badged car will be similar and without doors, with the roof floating forward to allow the driver and his passenger to sit inside.
