The Jeep Renegade reached an incredible number of sales in Brazil: 400 thousand units. The fact is celebrated in Stellantis because it happens when the Jeep Renegade was redesigned to make room in the Fiat Pulse market. Even more expensive, the Renegade remains competitive, although this year it is not fighting for the leadership of the segment, which has now been taken by the Volkswagen T-Cross.
“Jeep Renegade has redefined its segment with the originality, power and originality of the brand”, said Alexandre Aquino, Vice President of Jeep South America. “In a market with very similar propositions, Renegade has always brought innovation and unique content that surprised and set our brand apart.”
Manufactured in Goiana (PE), the Jeep Renegade shares an assembly line with the brand’s two other models, the Compass and Commander. The Fiat Toro pickup is also produced at the Pernambuco plant. Renegade is exported to several Latin American countries, such as Mexico, Argentina, Peru, Uruguay, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Dominican Republic, Guatemala, El Salvador and Paraguay.
In February of this year, Jeep Renegade underwent a facelift and started a new 1.3 turbo flex T270 engine, with 185 hp. With this, the car can offer a 2.0 diesel engine, which was not very efficient, without losing one of its main characteristics: 4×4 traction.
