Jaguar Land Rover and NVIDIA team up for autonomous driving

From 2025, all new Jaguar Land Rover vehicles will use NVIDIA technology to take automation to the next level.

Jaguar Land Rover and NVIDIA are announcing a partnership that aims to design and deliver cutting-edge automated driving systems, raising the bar for the company’s vehicles. With the merger, JLR vehicles will be built on a platform defined by the NVIDIA DRIVE software from 2025, using new technology that will allow greater connectivity between the vehicle, driver and environment.

This program allows, for example, the adoption of more active safety systems, the automation of driving and parking and the use of new driver assistance devices. NVIDIA will also offer artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, from monitoring the driver and passengers to visualizing the environment around the vehicle.

“We want to change the way people drive, not only by automating work, but also by providing a comfort experience that has never been seen before. NVIDIA technology has everything to transform Jaguar Land Rover vehicles into true cars of the future”, says Marcio Aguiar, director of NVIDIA’s Enterprise division for Latin America.
