FIAT is celebrating today the 65th anniversary of its 500th anniversary, the symbol of the new “Dolce Vita”, which, in its electronic version, becomes Europe’s leader in electricity mobility.
“The entire new 500 500 electricity peak reached the peak of the European EV market in the first half of the year,” Said Oliver Francois, CEO of FIAT and Stellantis International CMO. “In the first half of the year, the New 500 was the best-selling EV in Germany – where it was more successful than domestic cars.”
He is also a leader in Italy and on the podium in France and Spain. This is a clear indication of its success and how FIAT sees its move to supply electricity as part of its historic social mission.
We created mobility for all, we are the leaders in urban mobility, now our goal is to revitalize urban mobility, to make it sustainable for everyone, true to our claim “it is only green when it is green.” ‘it is green for everyone’.
Designed and manufactured in Turin, the new Fiat 500 is a symbol of Italian creativity and appeal to fans of Made-In-Italian brands around the world. The new Fiat 500 is currently on sale in 38 countries with four different geographical locations: from Europe to Latin America, from the Middle East to Japan. Its success is also highlighted by the 30 international awards presented to him in nine countries by the general public and experts.
With more and more attention paid to a low-carbon economy, FIAT has decided to accelerate its electricity distribution strategy with a view to a more sustainable future. The international brand now has a full range of electronic models in Europe and, from 2024, all its new models will be electronic. Finally, by 2027, FIAT will be fully operational in Europe.
Two new stories to celebrate the change icon
To wish his icon a happy birthday, FIAT presents two new stories that show in a fun way that the New 500 is truly a vehicle for change. The two “Evergreen” and “The Stick” sites call for the participation of Leonardo DiCaprio, an Oscar-winning activist and actress, the New 500 environmental ambassador since its launch. FIAT shows that running electricity and becoming a spokesperson for sustainable mobility is a fun and easy activity.
Created by broadcasting agency Leo Burnett, the two new sections are signed by director Martin Werner. The sound of the place is created by an original version that has not been released since 1962 of the song “La Dolce Vita” by Nino Rota. It was rediscovered by FIAT in the Italian label list CAM Sugar, which captures historical works of cinema, as well as film music. Amarcord and maestro Nino Rota, used for the New 500 pedestrian alert (“AVAS”).
