Zapping Autonews Contest Peugeot 9X8 Hypercar: on the way to Le Mans 24 hours
McLaren Racing announced in a statement that the team: “will enter the 2022/2023 ABB FIA Formula E 20 20 World Championships and begin the Gen3 era in the pioneer race of the electric race.”
Formula E joins the McLaren Competition for Formula 1, IndyCar, Extreme E and Esports.
The McLaren Formula E team will be formed with the acquisition of the Formula E Mercedes-EQ team, the team’s two world champions, in the builders’ championship. Ian James will continue to lead the team, allowing for a smooth transition to McLaren after the end of the current season.
The McLaren races will compete in the pioneer race of the electric race @FIAFormulaE starting season 22/23. ⚡️🤩⁰
The McLaren System E team will be formed through the acquisition of @MercedesEQFE, which will make the defending champions part of the McLaren family. 🤝
