Since its inception 20 years ago, the name Denali has always represented the best GMC branding technique. Only, the end has always left us in our lust.
In fact, equipment was always available, but equipment quality and delivery declined. Some were very aware of this at GMC and although Denali designs remain very popular in the family (20 to 25% of sales), there was room for improvement.
And that is exactly what GMC is doing by introducing the highest level of reduction, Denali Ultimate. What the latter offers with the Yukon SUV gives us a good idea and also makes us realize that the model suddenly plays on the flower beds of the Cadillac Escalade.
This is the second edition of Denali Ultimate to see the light of day, following the launch of the Sierra 2022 pickup.
The Yukon Denali Ultimate has 22-inch wheels with seven voices. The bright chrome looks close to the grille, as well as around the windows and door panels.
On the board, there is a wooden trim, 16-way front seats with a recycling function, and leather with different upper parts. The Bose sound system of 18 speakers is included, as well as headphone speakers with stainless steel grilles. You will also find a map of the landscaped map showing Mount Denali, Alaska.
Then, the model benefits from the latest version of the semi-autonomous Cruise operating system. The latter now supports route changes, as well as being able to work when the load is pushed backwards. It still requires constant monitoring from the driver, which only places it in Level 2 on the SAE level of free driving ability.
Mechanically, nothing changes with this update. Yukon Denali Ultimate will go on sale this summer. Price details will be announced near the first model market.
