Hyundai Palisade 2023 – performance, data sheet and photos

Price revealed: Hyundai’s flagship SUV now has a more stylish, stylish new cabin. See if you are the new middle tier 3 champion.

Hyundai seems to have been on a roll in recent years, in part due to the expansion of its lineup that includes performance cars like the N-Line Elantra and futuristic electric models like the Ioniq 5.

SUVs, on the other hand, are the brand’s bread and butter, accounting for 65% of total sales, and the Palisade is one of the South Korean automaker’s most popular models.

Hyundai’s top-of-the-range third-class car is very attractive because it is great value for money.

Therefore, Hyundai should reduce this already growing revenue.

Building on the success of its predecessor, Hyundai made its public debut earlier this year at the NY Auto Show.

As for the ride, you can try MacPherson-tested up front and use an independent multi-link setup at the back.

Although Hyundai has added more XRT off-road variants to the lineup, note that most of the changes are cosmetic.

The modern palisade has a one-piece construction. So on the road, you can expect it to behave like a car, not an SUV.

The most prominent cosmetic change is the new parametric design grid that replaces the old waterfall grid.

Somehow this shape was never suitable for an attractive fence. This time, Hyundai succeeded.

This makes way for a larger, more prominent front grille, which is exactly what the market wants right now.

The layout of the lighting elements is also new. The vertical daytime running lights now extend out of the grille instead of inward as in previous models.

The direction indicators below the bonnet line are conveniently integrated into the DRL.

The headlights are located under the bumper.

On the sides, the bottom finish receives the mandatory plastic coating.

Head out to the garage and Hyundai will paint to match these pieces.

This feature alone gives Paliside a more refined look.

Hyundai has added new rim models between 18 inches and 20 inches, available in a variety of finishes.

Chrome works around the window sills and text-finished door edges, which, along with the body-colored bumper, make it look like it belongs in the category above.

On the back, you have a nice piece of brushed aluminum that forms the skid plate and the dual exhaust.

LED lighting has also been modified at the back, and the Palisade name is written in bold letters on the tailgate.

Along with how the new Palisade looks, Hyundai has made several changes to make the SUV more aerodynamic.

The angles of the A-pillar allow for better airflow around the windshield, and there’s a new rear spoiler, wheel arches and redesigned panels that make the Palisade more aerodynamically efficient. the result? The drag coefficient of the Palisade is only 0.33.

Additionally, the XRT’s finish follows a solid line with its black theme aesthetic. It includes the following bits to differentiate it from other finishes in the Palisade range.

  • finish the dark grid
  • Lower bumper and protective panel details
  • Solid bottom door covers
  • 20″ wheels, black finish
  • Black roof rails and side rails

Overall, Hyundai did a good job of improving the styling with this mid-cycle hatchback update. SUVs now have more presence on the road.

Exterior colors available

  • very white
  • graphite iron
  • Sierra Burgundy
  • money whirlwind
  • moon cloud
  • Solid Emerald (New 2023)

Quality interior and technology

If the exterior is attractive, the cabin will impress you even more.

While much of the interior is straight from the previous models, the South Korean automaker has now rolled out more features and technology to the Palisade in an attempt to beat the competition.

The Palisade is one of its main selling points, and Hyundai has upped the ante a bit with a facelift.

The main example is the soundproof laminated glass on the rear doors with a high specification finish.

You can’t ignore the all-new steering wheel, and the all-new dashboard has AC vents that perfectly match the silver finish of the dashboard.

You have a choice of interior themes, including classic black, cognac and ivory available, with quilting and trim on the seats.

They contrast well with aluminum or open pore wood finishes.

Upholstery options include:

  • sword
  • artificial leather
  • Black letter H-Tex (XRT only)
  • skin
  • premium nappa leather

The new Ergo front row seats improve comfort and prevent fatigue as a matter of convenience.

You can configure the Palisade for seven or eight seats. Remember, luxury isn’t just for the front seats.

You can choose heated seats in the third row, which also sit. Achieving the third layer is easy, depending on how you arrange the fence.

Let’s get into the technical side, because there’s a lot going on here.

You get a redesigned instrument case with an all-digital display. In the center of the cabin is a new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Wired Apple Carplay and Android Auto are standard across the range.

Ambient lighting, digital mirrors, number keys (iPhone and Android compatible), 5-15W Qi wireless smartphone charging.

Enough USB C ports to keep all three rows of passengers happy, two number keys, enhanced audio, ambient lighting and the finish.

But not least, seating indicators are among the many convenience features.

In addition, Hyundai for the first time integrates Wi-Fi hotspot functionality with Bluelink connected features such as last mile NAV, which can be operated from a smartphone.

With stylish steel speaker grilles, leather seats and ambient lighting, the new Palisade cabin offers a very high-end feel, and Hyundai has been working hard to improve the experience.

2023-hyundai-palisad-28_800x0

Safety features and driver assistance remain top priorities for modern vehicles.

Although the 2023 Palisade has not yet been rated for safety by the NHTSA and IIHS, the outgoing Palisade did very well on NHTSA’s safety test, earning at least five stars.

But when the IIHS gave it a Top Safety Pick+ 2022 in the mid-size SUV category it was.

The Palisade 2023 driver assistance and safety feature set includes:

  • Front collision avoidance assist
  • Driver Attention Notice
  • roadside assistance
  • Runway Maintenance Assistant
  • tracking assistant
  • Intelligent navigation control
  • Help prevent collisions in reverse gear
  • Smart parking assistant
  • safe exit assistant
  • Standard rear side impact airbags
  • alarm monitor

main competitor

Competition in the three-row mid-size SUV segment is fierce and today’s buyers have many options.

Hyundai Palisade takes some of the perfect family trucks, the kind of model you usually find at school.

You have the obvious, like the Ford Explorer, Toyota Highlander, and Honda Pilot. Palisade also competes with its Korean sister brand Kia Telluride.

See how the Hyundai Palisade stacks up against some of its competitors in terms of performance.

Now, Hyundai has stepped it up a notch with the latest Palisade update. In some areas, competitors are doing better.

2023-hyundai-palisad-31_800x0

If cargo space is what you want, the Kia Telluride has more space at 21 cubic feet, while the Palisade has more than 16 cubic feet.

The third row is also not the most spacious.

As for payload capacity, the Ford Explorer has slightly more tow than the Palisade at 5,000 – 5,300 pounds.

The Toyota Highlander offers hybrid power, which means you should see better mileage than the standard gas engine on the fence.

Price-wise, you can get a Subaru Ascent for less than $32,000, but keep in mind that the Ascent only has four cylinders and a CVT.

One area where rivals will struggle to compete with the latest Palisade, however, is the cabin.

Now it looks more difficult than the competition. Combine that with extensive safety features and bold exterior styling, and Hyundai is once again on to a winner with the 2023 Palisade.
