For the “World’s Best Car of the Year” award, the jury selected IONIQ 5 from 28 initially driven cars, then from the remaining three winners. To qualify for this award, cars must be manufactured at least 10,000 units a year, offered at a lower price than high-end structures in their major markets, and sold in at least two major markets on at least two continents in the starting period. January 1, 2021 to March 30, 2022.
For the “Best World Car of the Year Award” award, the tribunal selected IONIQ 5 from the first 11 cars, then from the remaining three graduates. To qualify for this award, cars must have the unique power of one or more electric engines, be produced at least 5,000 units a year and be sold in at least two major markets on at least two continents, from January 1, 2021 to March 30., 2022 .
For the “World Car Design of the Year” award a panel of six experts from France, Germany, Japan, the United Kingdom and the United States selected IONIQ 5 from all competitors in five other categories. The jury examined each vehicle in terms of its style and ability to shake the principles established by its creativity.
