Goodyear is preparing the Renault Megane E-Tech

The Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance range now equips three quarters of the Megane E-Tech to leave the factory. In general, tires and five gauges were chosen as original equipment, such as the Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance 2 summer tire in 195/60R18 and Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance, in 215/45R20, which shows low rolling resistance of 5.7 kg / t, trap on wet ground, plus reduction in braking distance. EfficientGrip 2 performance also increases mileage. As an option, the Vector 4Seasons Gen-3 all-season tire is available in both sizes. The R symbol on the sidewalls of the tires indicates that they have been special selected and adopted by Renault. The tires also sport Goodyear’s EDT, or Electric Drive Technology, proving they are dedicated to the original equipment of electric vehicles.

For the record, Megane E-Tech deliveries started in the first quarter of 2022 and production last November in Douai. The new model has a 145kg electric motor that produces 96kW (130hp) or 160kW (218hp) depending on the specification. Developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. The 110 mm thick battery is suitable for Renault’s CMF-EV platform, which reduces the length of the vehicle, and is available in 40kWh (up to 300km) or 60kWh (up to 470km range) autonomy.
