GM confirms the arrival of the Chevrolet Silverado in Brazil in 2023

It was no longer news to anyone that Chevrolet would return to the big picture. Now the brand has confirmed the return of the Silverado to the Brazilian market.

Supposed to arrive in 2023, via ordering. Originally, GM sold a version of the D-20 model, which had the shape of the North American Chevy C/K. At the time the Silverado competed with the Ford F-250. But both came with mid-sized cameras, just like the S10 and the Ranger itself.


Now, the pickup is returning to the market to fight in the luxury segment, led by the Ram 150 Rebel, 2500 Laramie and 3500. But the battle will heat up even more, as Ford also announced that it will sell the F-150. here.

“Silverado is here to serve the consumer who is looking for a large pickup truck, with the highest level of technology and impressive performance”, says the president of GM Latin America, Santiago Chamorro.

Today the image is in its fourth generation, launched in 2018 but updated this year. In the US it is offered in 1500, 2500 and 3500 models, as Ram and F-Series models.

Silverado Editions

GM has not yet hammered on which version will come to Brazil, as well as the engine options, of which there is a range of six engines, with V6, V8 and even a 3.0 turbodiesel with six cylinders on the line. The engines can be paired with six, eight, or 10-speed automatic transmissions.

The list of finished versions has eight options. Most likely the brand will choose the LTZ or High Country versions, which are at the top of the line.

They are equipped with driving aids, multimedia with smartphone connection, digital instrument panel, digital climate control, among other equipment that is a must for a vehicle that will certainly range in price between R$400,000 and R$550,000.
