The electric battery is known to pollute after its use, in fact, several lives. After at least eight years (guaranteed by Renault) in the car, it is recycled and becomes an additional energy storage system.

Management of long journeys on board the electric car still. Today electric cars provide up to 450 kilometers of autonomy. To deal with this, Renault includes in financing or renting an electric car, the provision of a heated car for 5 weeks on vacation.

Southern SUV

The prices of the new Renault Austral SUV will be revealed during the grand commercial launch scheduled for September. On the other hand, the range is already known. Austral claims 100% electrification for its three engines, and no diesel.

The hybrid then rises top notch and early hybridization. The Austral SUV is the first to have a new 1.2-liter turbocharged 3-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower. It is associated with a lithium-ion battery. The reduction in consumption is around 15% compared to the same engine without hybrid. It uses 5.2 liters per 100 km and emits between 118 and 129 grams of CO2/km. “The choice of 130 horsepower is only strategic. Austral will be one of the only SUVs to be equipped with this type of technology. Competitors are working on it but will sell it later,” explains Michaël Proust, chief engineer.

Finally, the Austral SUV delivers new generation E-Tech hybrid engine. It now has a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder turbo engine block and an intelligent automatic gearbox. Associated with an electric motor, it shows 40% fuel savings and drives 80% of the time in electric mode.
