Gabriel Casagrande resumes the Stock Car lead with 32 points in Interlagos


Team AMattheis Vogel’s driver was fourth in race 1 and finished race 2 in eighth place

Gabriel Casagrande from Paraná achieved his main goal this weekend at Interlagos and took back the lead in Stock Car 2022. The driver of the AMattheis Vogel team got 32 points this Sunday, after being fourth in race 1 and eighth in race 2.

“We are back in the lead of the championship, 32 points is a very good score for someone who started in seventh place and focused on the two races, while many chose one race or the other. There are five steps to go and we will try to continue on this path, suffering with the ballast of success until the end, God willing, so that we can get there in November fighting for the title once again”, says Casagrande, who has won 205. points, 21 points ahead of the runner-up. – leader Daniel Serra.

With two wins in 2022, Casagrande lived a weekend in which he had to work hard with the team to earn the car’s right to stay in the front pack. The current champion explained in detail the challenges he had at Interlagos.

“We won very important points for the championship and returned to the lead. We needed to get the best set-up we’ve ever had in other races here, it was very tiring in the car, I had a bit of luck avoiding other opponents’ crashes, but that’s part of the season and we’ll continue. to always fight to be among the leaders”, concludes Casagrande.

The next stage of the Car Stock will take place between the 2nd and 4th of September at the Autodromo Velocitta, in the city of Mogi Guaçu (SP).
