A model with a presentation already planned for next May, the next Skoda Fabia will appear “significantly”, with a “more expressive” design. A point already made by the Czech brand.

Announced as a significant evolution compared to the generation still on sale, due to the adoption of the MQB-A0 platform already used as the basis of the Volkswagen Polo, the next Skoda Fabia has offered more designs and attractions. Which, by the way, proves a big change in the small consumption.

The change starts, from the beginning, with the adoption of the latest design language in use Czech brand, starting with a new front grille, along with narrow LED optics, and to which the model also adds a large rear spoiler, small exterior mirrors and front air intakes with functional fins. All with a view, also, to more efficient aerodynamics, which in the new model should be 0.28, against 0.32 of the current model.

As the manufacturer has already revealed, the changes to the new platform have also allowed an increase in the dimensions of the new model, compared to its predecessor, with those involved revealing, from now on, that the future Fabia will grow by 111 mm. in length and 48 mm more in width. This, while getting not only more housing – the wheel should increase by about 100 mm – but also about 50 liters of cargo capacity, which will now provide 380 liters.

It should also be noted that, according to the information already released, the next Fabia will use the latest generation of gasoline engines from the Volkswagen Group, with many options based on the already known three-cylinder TSI. Since, and even being able to put a model at an acceptable price level, there should not be any kind of electricity in these engines.

Meanwhile, Skoda has also confirmed that these engines will be offered with a six-speed manual gearbox or a two-speed automatic gearbox.

The new Skoda Fabia is expected to go on sale in Europe in the second half of 2021, but only in the hatchback variant. Since, regarding the van – Combi -, the prediction is that it will only be introduced in the line, in 2023. And also, with a large load capacity.
