Embraer hires Toyota to improve aircraft manufacturing process

Embraer has signed an agreement with Toyota do Brasil with the aim of introducing participants to the principles and concepts of its world-renowned Toyota Production System (TPS). The program aims to eliminate waste, gain operational efficiency and generate greater value stakeholders in aircraft production.

In the first phase of the joint work, a team of experts from TPS, from Toyota do Brasil, will be part of the Embraer process with the aim of evaluating and recommending improvements to the production area of ​​the company’s main factory, Ozires Silva. Part, located in São José dos Campos, within São Paulo.

“Bringing Toyota to carry out this work reinforces Embraer’s commitment to the constant pursuit of business excellence and sustainable growth,” said Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer. “It will be a great opportunity to exchange and increase knowledge that will make it possible to further accelerate the use of philosophy. lean in production systems, while reinforcing practices already disseminated by Embraer’s Business Excellence Program, P3E.

Beyond efficiency and productivity, the use of TPS can provide solutions that allow industries and other sectors to continue to improve their processes, which is one of the pillars of Toyota worldwide.
