The E.Go company that launches the electric car also brings its small electric car to an off-road appearance and then calls it E.Go E.Wave X.
In the spring of 2020, a German electric car manufacturer wanted to present the E.Go Life Concept Cross study at the Geneva Motor Show. The car show was canceled shortly before it opened due to the start of the corona catastrophe. Two good years later, the Aachen company introduced the E.Go E.Wave X, a series of small electric car models from it. Exactly as they promised at the time.
More powerful, more diverse
Technically, E.Go E.Wave X of course is based on E.Go Life. Various stylish attachments make it a crossover model. These include the expansion of the black wheel arches, wider panels, new front and rear aprons as well as additional lighting on the front mask and railings on the roof. The newly formed alloy wheels with a diameter of up to 18 inches are located on the arches of the wheels.
But the crossover variant also follows suit when it comes to driving. Engine output increases from 57 to 80 kW, city range increases with new batteries from 171 to 240 km. It can be charged up to eleven kW. There are three driving apps to choose from: Eco, Comfort and Sport.
Mega show in the cockpit
Aachen Company has also completely redesigned the theme of the cockpit. The main feature now is a 23-inch wide screen that displays all important vehicle information including infotainment, multimedia and additional features. Smart phones are connected via Apple Carplay and Android Auto and the release of energy through the charging station by tapping the word in the center dashboard. The remaining dashboard also has a new look, with circular air vents at the bottom and a three-tone steering wheel.
At a starting price of 24,999 euros, the Cross version is 2,000 euros higher than the base model, with both prices already including the manufacturer’s component of the 3,570 euro environment bonus. E.Wave X can be stored immediately. The first submission is scheduled for the end of 2022.
Yes, now is the time
No, nothing to me
As announced, E.Go gives its small electric car a cross-over appearance, a more powerful car and more versatile. The pilot room environment has also been extensively updated. The new variant should start at the end of 2022. Prices will increase by 2,000 euros.
