EVO, the low-cost brand of the Italian manufacturer DR seems to want to keep the Romanian brand in trouble. The EVO3, the low-cost Italian, is already one of Dacia’s worst competitors.
Indeed, the low-cost brand is aiming to be one of the fiercest rivals of Roma in Europe. The EVO 3 is an urban crossover that measures 4,135mm in length, 1,568mm in length and 1,750mm in width, leaving a wheelbase of 2,490mm and a boot of 450 liters. And it stands out for its versatility, aggressive design, efficiency of its engines and proportions its quality for the price, thanks to which the EVO3 will surely see its sales increase in the coming months.
The starting price of the entry-level version of this lifted city car is exclusive 15.900 € (according to the official website of EVO in France). This level of finish (one and only), unlike what Dacia Sandero offers, reaches beyond the standard equipment. This version includes: alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, different stitching, on-board computer, multimedia system with a 9-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, automatic climate control, camera rear, front and rear parking sensors and cruise control, among other details.
Under the hood, a 1.6-liter gasoline engine with 113 hp and 140 Nm of high torque, connected to a 5-speed manual transmission and a front-wheel drive system. This block can reach a top speed of 170 km / h, and shows a combined consumption of 6.7 liters per 100 km. This model, which comes in a gasoline version and another variant modified for LPG, is sold at a price of 17,400 euros.
It should also be noted that Italian brand DR Automobiles has updated its entire main DR range, including that of its lower-priced EVO sub-brand. These innovations were presented at the MIMO 2022 exhibition, which took place from June 16 to 19, 2022 in Milan.
