Cupra Formentor: Spicy Iberian – Companies

Seat brand sister, Cupra wants to be chic and more athletic. More Spanish “perfume” label, in short. And with this new, “emotional” brand, Seat (a member of the Volkswagen constellation) intends to increase its level of performance, which is currently the lowest.

Created in 2018, Cupra initially sold easily “maintained” and labeled Seth models. Formentor is the first complete product of Cupra. Technically, it is based on the Seat Ateca SUV but it plays special clothing, the folds of which ensure authenticity. The interior is also very personal and well-finished. The dashboard removes all control buttons and is therefore necessary to navigate through the touch screen or voice command, which requires time to adapt. But the connection has been updated. In the background, the housing is generous and the trunk is straight. The seats are a bit sturdy, but the suspension provides a good balance between comfort and handling. You will never get tired of driving this SUV, parked closer to the ground than its competitors. Underneath the hat, there are natural gasoline engines (from 150 hp to 390 hp for a five-cylinder Audi VZ5 sports block) and diesel (150 hp). But there are also two hybrids Burn (204 and 245 hp). To drive them, we completed about 50 miles in pure electric weather in good weather. It will be a little bit colder in the winter. The 245 hp version is powerful and the sound generator provides a top layer for the engine, but the front wheels sometimes have trouble getting all the power. We also regret that hybrid dialects lose 105 liters of stem. But their 100% deduction reduces the final amount. Overall, Formentor costs the price of the VW Tiguan, which is not the original but more practical (sliding seat) and which benefits from the brand image set up, while Cupra still needs to include its own.
